What will we learn?

Microbiology at its core is the study of microorganisms ranging from bacteria, viruses, fungi, and many more. In order to fully explore and appreciate microbiology, you will also learn fundamental concepts in biochemistry, physiology, cell biology, ecology and evolution. We will explore how microbes can both harm humans through infectious disease as well as how humans thrive with the support and new technologies derived from microbes. We, humans, are giants living in a microbe's world and I'm eager for you all to have a chance to explore this topic with me.
